Ported/vented enclosures can be up to twice the size of a similar sealed box since the airspace inside the chamber is much larger. The port can be a rounded ported or a vented slot which is narrower and taller. Each subwoofer will have a specific frequency they are designed to run at for maximum output. |

Ported sub boxes are typically the culprit behind the guy you can hear from 2 blocks away. A ported subwoofer enclosure includes a port which allows the back waves to be emitted along with the front waves to generate a higher total sound output. The ports in these enclosures help produce deeper bass up to the tuned frequency. Ported subwoofer boxes are available in 8", 10", 12" and 15" designs. Ported enclosures are tuned to a certain frequency range which is determined by the port length, width and diameter. You can choose from single, dual and triple slot subwoofer enclosures to house your subs. Our boxes come standard with a circular hole, but we also carry square enclosures for Kicker subs. These ported boxes feature dense carpeting and fiberboard materials for long-lasting performance. |
