Not bad at all considering it's priced very reasonably. it completely eliminated my alternator noise. BUT, only if this unit is placed away from rcas and power wires, then you'll be fine. Once I found a spot I could put this away from everything, it was perfect, silent |

Not sure why, but this isolator didn't work for me at all. I even tried attaching the ground wires to a grounding point but still no luck. I ended up just removing them entirely and attaching my head unit ground wire to a ground point closer to the frame of the car. Helped a little bit but still got alternator whine. |

Placed this ground loop isolator at the audio outputs of the scanners and the crosstalk went away! Very effective and an affordable solution.
Highly recommended.

I use the GS Audio GL301 to eliminate audio crosstalk between two scanner receivers which feed air traffic audio. It works wonders!

Yes, a ground isolator is a band aid to a problem that could probably be fixed elsewhere in the circuit. That has no bearing on the quality of the product. I work for a custom audio and video company that works for the themed entertainment industry and we found that these isolators contain some of the best quality transformers of their type. We used dozens of them for a custom project in which we could not control the whole circuit and had no other way to get rid of the noise.
Great product for the money.

These are just "band-aids" for engine noise. They usually just suppress the noise which also quiets the regular signal. Best thing to do is check to make sure you have a solid ground connection, make sure no power cables are near signal cables, and a small ground connection on the battery can also cause it. But this is still a decent product.
