I put off installing this product for a year because of the sheer number of pieces in the box. To the uninitiated (I'm not very handy), it was like some thousand piece puzzle. If I had only read the directions. Most of the hardware goes unused because there is hardware in the box for every contingency and for every application. Mine of course, was the simplest, and, I'm proud to say that having had the foresight to have built a solid wood wall into which I could hang a TV anywhere, it is up and running and my friends have a new respect for me. It was a good price. I found it extremely sturdy, simple to do, functions as promised and if I had to find any fault with it it would be simply that it is black. I can't figure out why manufacturers of products the size of tvs that hang in our living spaces think we consumers want big honkin' black contraptions hanging obtrusively on our white (or other colored) walls. If the walls were black and the item were intended to blend in and disappear it might make sense, but designers should unite and demand a good looking product. Couldn't we please have a choice???
All black does, by the way is look like a big gaping hole in the decor. There, I've said my piece.
