I had a 10w3v3 in my vehicle, but just wanted to try an 8w3 just to see how it sounded. I was very pleasantly surprised - the sound quality and clarity of bass guitar notes was much better with the 8" than the 10". I had to turn the gain up a couple clicks to get the same volume as the 10", but that was no problem.

I have two of these in a custom down firing box under the rear seat in an 07 Avalanche. The box fits under one side of the seat and extends to the center powered by Alpine pdx 1.600 amp. Bass is very clean and strong, hits every note and kicks the back of the front seat. Sounds great but leaves out most of bass under 30HZ. Sounds better played moderate to loud. Great for SQ set ups. Recommend three for lower bass or ported box. Genre=Cont Jazz, R+B, Rap. Neo, soul blues.
