I have this amp connected to a JL 12w7 prowedge sealed box. it hits pretty good. I wish I would have saved a couple hundred more and baught the 1000/1v2. bottom line is this: if you have limited space and want a great amp then this is the way to go. If you have the room and want one of the best amps made, then buy the JL 1000/1v2 amp. it's an old school analog amp built to give real power. The HD series are digital and dont seem to have the umpff like the 1000/1v2 slash series. It matters what kind of sub you have too. I'm upgrading to a ported 12w7 HO box and the 1000/1v2 amp just cause i know it will sound better. Overall i'm happy, but you know how it is.

This amp sounds so much cleaner than other avg quality amps. Very small, barely gets warm. I have it powering 2 JL 12w3 subs in a Sonic brand sealed box. Sounds very nice and clean.
