made a custom box that fit inside the factory center console for a jeep wrangler x , this sub was small enough to work for what i need and has plenty of power, 1 eight hits almost as hard as the 2 ten inch concept subs i have in my pickup

I have a lot of polk audio products, and this subwoofer is why i keep buying polk audio. This subwoofer will hold its on from 200 to 300 rms watts. Sound is very good for a 8 inch sub. As i have grow older i no longer need the big subs. This subwoofer will produce pure low end within its requirements.

These sound very good. They hit fast and have good, full-range low-end sound. They sound quality enough for classical and add solid enough bass for pop music. If you want some good-sounding low end, you should consider these. If you just want lots of volume, there may be better choices for you. I added a pair of these with a suitable amp, and they don't add huge amounts of volume, so if you have space for bigger subwoofers, I would get a bigger size (nothing larger would fit in my Mustang's trunk), but if your main concern is adding a bit of good, clean bass, these are worth the money.

This little bugger went into a custom box that sits in my tourpak on my 08 Harley Ultra. I replaced a RE Audio DVC 8 with this Polk MM 8 DVC the difference is dramatic. The RE gave out on me, one of the voice coils burnt. These Polks are very clean and precise. Polk Subs and speakers from now on. Pushing 168 watts via back two channels of a rockforg fosgate pbr300x4 and it just sounds great. I know it will just get better once I allow it to break in. Thanks again to Sonix, great value and great customer service.

This was actually the second one of these subs that I have purchased. Both were installed in Toyota ext.cab pickups. With space at a premium, my choices were limited. Their performance far exceeds the price. Excellent value. My music choices are blues , rock ,and sometimes cont. jazz.
