The RMR-C435 does exactly what it says. It's got a long enough range to allow you time to slow down before a pig actually gets your speed. It paid for itself in the first two weeks of owning it catching two cops in two different states sitting in the median of the interstate. Nice work RMR. I gave it 4 stars for Look/Design because it is a larger device and therefore isn't exactly inconspicuous from too close. |

The Rocky Mountain Radar RMR should be sold as a radar detector only and not as a scrambler. The radar detector in this unit works fine but its scrambling effectiveness is almost nil. It has an effective range of 10-15 feet; only 10-15 feet. I have purchased several Rocky Mountain Radar scramblers and all have excellent detectors but are not useful to drivers as radar or laser scramblers. They just don't have the capability of scrambling signals from radar or laser guns in time enough to prevent a driver from getting a ticket and having to pay fines. As stated earlier, Rocky Mountain Radar scramblers have an effective range of only ten (10) to fifteen (15) feet! |

Performance-wise, this unit is great. I am a law-abiding citizen and a car-traveling salesman. My attention to speed is often overcome by other attentions. The RMR 450 has saved me from many potential speeding tickets. I have had several RMR detectors, and the common failure in this Texas heat is the sound component of their units, but RMR is very good with their warranty. I would recommend it for anyone with a heavier than average pedal-foot.

I own and have used Rocky Mountain products for years. Their warranty and repair is the best. They will talk personally to you.

I bought the rocky mountain radar RMR-C435, after buying some department store ones and they never detected when driving by speed traps, this one is excellent lets me know a good distance of speed trap ahead, wouldn't buy any other brand.
