I bought this FM transmitter because I wanted to listen to podcasts while driving, but my car doesn't have an auxiliary input jack. I had pretty low expectations based on past experiences with FM transmitters, but was pleasantly surprised with the performance of this unit. The tuner's ability to use the full range of FM frequencies means finding an available station isn't an issue even in crowded airways. The sound comes through clear for both podcasts and music, with minimal static or interference. The built in cigarette lighter input is great to charge an mp3 player or phone during longer journeys. Originally I was debating between replacing the head unit or using an FM transmitter, and all things considered I'm completely satisfied with opting for the transmitter.
