This adapter I use in a 97 Buick Park Ave and I don't know if installer did it wrong or what but you have to go thru channels and find something cause seek/scan dont work but you can change the channel or volume so that is all I can say?

No problem with this product as it worked flawlessly--unlike the head unit a jensen VM9224BT for which I have two units and neither worked as advertised!

The Axxess ASWC installation went well and works as expected, thanks. The only problem is that randomly the "att" function keeps popping up. There is an interference somewhere that triggers the attenuation and I honestly have had no time to investigate. I installed on a 2009 Subaru Forester and JVC KW-AVX810. I was thinking just wrapping an aluminum foil around the ASWC would do the job.

I would highly reccomend this product. All I had to do was look up the information for my car (2009 Subaru Forrester), and then attach the wires that were called. Turn on the car and it "auto learns" you steering wheel controls!

Bought a Clarion NX501 to put in my 2011 Tundra, bought this Steering Wheel Integration from Axxcess. Works good with all my controls, except my answer and hang up buttons, and my talk button on my steering wheel. This may be due to the installer not ever hooking one up before. I am going to pull it back out just to make sure he's done everything correctly. But it's not really a bother since the Clarion has such a wonderful bluetooth phone control. Would give 5 stars if all my buttons had worked... If I can figure it out I will update the review.

Purchased and installed th ASWC in my 2008 Corvette to add steering wheel radio controls for my Kenwood DNX6960 Audio/Nav unit. The ASWC is easy to install and program (it actually programs itself). It learns the button functions on its own. The response time is almost instantaneous; when you push a button on the steering whell, the radio responds instantly. Only problem that I have is that the buttons for my pre set stations do not work properly; it changes the stations, but simply in progression, not to the programmed presets. Haven't been able to cure this. Volume up and down and tuning up and down work just fine; only problem is with the station preset tuning; it just won't do it. This may be an issue specific to the '08 Corvette. My car did not have factory installed steering wheel radio controls to start with. Overall, I would rate this an excellent product and would recommend it. I would purchase this product again.

July 13, 2011 Check Radio Compatibility First. Not All Buttons Programmable

Usability
I had a Dual XHD6425 originally, but when it didn't work at all, I found out it was NOT Steering Wheel Control (SWC) Compatible... so one of my only options was to buy a new radio.. The Axxess detected my new Kenwood radio, and either didn't recognize the car or was showing a fault (bad connection), can't remember which. But, I realized I forgot to ground one of the wires (Pin #19). Once it was hooked up, it was working fine.

Not sure if this because of the radio, the car, or the Axxess adapter; but one of the CONS is that I can't use the Seek/Scan button to move through the Presets while listening to the radio and Seek through songs on my USB flash drive. I manually programmed each button.. I did the Seek/Scan button accordingly, but the Preset Up/Preset Down won't work - the SWC uses One Button for Both of those functions from factory, so it seems only one function can be programmed per button with the Axxess ASWC...

Pretty much, I can either have the Seek/Scan button programmed as Preset Up/Down for the radio presets and not be able to choose the Next or Previous song when using my USB drive; or I can have the Seek/Scan button programmed as Next/Previous song while using the USB, and be able to Seek/Scan through All radio channels, but not be able to change the Presets. Hope that made sense!

Radio - Kenwood KDC-HD545U
Car - 2006 Ford Focus Hatch

(I have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4.)

PROS: This product was cheaper here compared to other places that wanted $70 for it. It was pretty easy to install, and not too bulky so it can hide nicely behind the radio. The Axxess website provides any other required install instructions.

CONS: I'm not sure why it's happened, but recently my "Volume Down" button on the steering wheel will sometimes make the Volume go Up, along with the normal "Volume Up" button. When this happens, the "Mode" button will sometimes not function as well. Perhaps the wires became loose or slightly touching the other ones - but, I haven't had time to take it apart again and don't much want to since my car was finally all put back together.

Very easy to install and it worked the first time. Initially installed using old Sony head unit (Mobile ES) then got a new Pioneer and both worked flawlessly in my '08 GTI. Recoding the steering wheel keys is easy.

Nice gadget. My next button doesn't work everytime. That's the only con.
I don't know if it's because of my car, my radio, the installer or the aswc.
I own a WRX 2010, with a AVIC-Z120BT.
Worth the price.

This works great... once you get it in. when you get teh manual it can be very easy, but if your car is not a auto detect it can take HOURS, i put it in my truck and it took me about 3 hours to do it. then when i swapped radios this time it took me 4 hours to do. there is no simple way to manual program it, my advice if youve already had it installed is to un plug everything and wait for at least 30mins then give it a shot. overall it does its job and the second time worked how i wanted it to.

Paired with a Dual XHD7714 in my 2005 Honda CRV with 95k miles. I happen to have a butt joint for 20-22 AWG wire that went well with the factory wire but was a little of a push for the ASWE wire - however, got a good connection. The on-line instructions leave some room for error. It identified the correct Honda wire - but wasn't really clear on what wire to connect on the ASWE harness. My 1st install wouldn't program (might have been bad crimp on PINK wire 1). Moved it to the middle of the harness (Green/Orange #4) and used the smaller gauge butt and - bam - everything was found and it was programed and ready to go. Used 3M ScotchLok Auto-Taps for power and ground off the radio with no issues.
