The most helpful favorable review: The most helpful critical review:
1 ohm stable

They say 1 ohm. NOT STABLE, idiots. I really don't know how can you manage burning amps. I think you are a bit parallel with car audio technique. Don't over range the gain (it isn't a VOLUME, it's a compensator). Bass boost is in about an 18dB range. Again, for compensation. In case you need to keep bass much lower in your head unit without HPF, so long and so forth. If you want 1 ohm (stupidity) buy competition amps. At 1 ohm, you may consider your final amplifier module short-circuited, but it still has to work a bit harder even for BRANDS (eg kicker, cerwin-vega, GZ, etc.).

VS
dont buy it.. pos

The amp sucks.. boss will not refund my mone. DONT BUY A BOSS... buy Hifonics.

This is the best mono amp in the market! The RMS level almost identical to Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D. In fact, BOSS NXD5500 is even more powerful.

I have done a TON of research and this amp IS 1 ohm stable but only if you can give it the power it needs. You can't run this amp without a "big 3" upgrade in your car or it will burn itself out when your stock wiring can't supply the needed power. It is good to run 1/0 gauge wire all the way back to the amp too(a 20 foot spool costs $80-100 because it's that important). Also, you will almost cartainly need a high output alternator and a deep cycle battery. I plan on buying this after I do my big 3 upgrade later this month. I will be pairing it up to 2 Boss AR12D subs. 2400W RMS total 4800W Peak will be my system.

people with boss subs and amps always blow them if you try and use them to there potential. i seen people with 12" boss subs barely even hits and the amp was pretty big but i dont believe it was able to push out what it says it could.. I got 2 15 l7's 10 cubic foot box and 2500 watt kicker amp that **** bumps. kicker all the way. Nothing wrong with alpine or memphis audio. DC are good but expensive.

All the 1 stars on durability leads me to believe the majority of people dont install this amp correctly. If you are going to have an amp this size you need to do the BIG 3. If you dont "YOU WILL" burn this amp up. This isnt an entry level 4 AWG wire from battery and done amp. You need the BIG 3. You need an extra battery. If not any amp this size burns up.

Single 12" MD Sound 12-12175 into 1.5cuft sealed custom fiberglass box. Dual 2ohm. Running parallel for 1ohm load to amp. 3farad capacitor.

Seat-of-pants-meter is telling me an honest 1000-1500wrms or so, maybe more. Can bottom out the subwoofer at higher power. Haven't clamped the output so just guessing. Great bang for your buck.

Tons of power for the money. It pushed my two L7s decently, but I've sent it in under warranty twice now and it just broke again right after my warranty got done. It's a great amp if you baby it though.
