I have heard a 12w7 and this RE audio sub. The RE can give you lots of sloppy spl but the W7 does the same except cleaner. If you just want bigtime spl and have room this is for you. If you want SQ and SPL get a W7AE. I got 1 in my tahoe and it slams on 600watts. Im going to do 2 12W7AE with a RF 1500watt amp (actually around 1900rms). Its a pricey setup but you will be happier than the RE Audios. NEED new altenator and good battery with these subs and want to give each minimum of 1000watts rms. Your heart may skip a beat but the bass isnt as accurate to MY TASTE, everyone is different though. The real $$$ in ANY setup is the power you give your subs and keeping volts high. Also make sure you have multiple 0guage grounds and ground the battery with 0guage too. Should be ridiculously sick if you do all that!
