I bought this to use in my airplane so that I could charge my ipad and my ATC Anywhere Map at the same time and it works great!

I've used Scosche chargers for a couple years now for my iphones and they've been great, but when the iPad came around, I needed more. This charger with it's 2 different current capacities fixes that problem. This will do a great job charging an iPad, or a lightning quick iPhone charge on the 2A side. I now own 3 of these and my other chargers are just sitting around in the cars unused.
