For anyone looking for a shallow sub that will still pound, this is a good choice. It's the only sub I have ever had, but compared to my friends full size 12" Sony X-plod sub and amplifier, this Pioneer just destroys it in accuracy and sound.

Running
4 T-1682 Speakers from Rockford Fosgate
1 600-5 5 channel amp from Rockford Fosgate
1 Pioneer 12" shallow mount

So I bought the box and amp recommended for it and installed it in the truck of my miata. I have tons of pioneer equipment and swear by them but they messed up this time. The sub sounds amazing and the amp stays practically cold somehow. However the amount the sub flexes when in the box is greater then the space they gave for it. I had it professional tuned and when he tuned it he noticed it right away. The box doesn't even give an inch for downward flex which is how they show it to be installed. So if you get this which I do recommend getting the whole package, raise the box an extra inch or so because my sub tore its face of and put holes in itself even though I never came close to 60% gain on pioneers amp for this setup.

Bought one of these to fit in the back of my minivan (don't laugh). I built the box according to the Pioneer optimal ported specs. At .8cuft it doesn't take up much space at all.

I blew the first one while setting the gain. I had a test 30Hz since wave going through it at 80% volume. Thing decided to melt down. My fault. I learned later the better way of setting gain using a multi-meter. I highly recommend doing it that way!!!

Second sub installed and this thing hits great. After the first few weeks of break in it can even hit 20-25 Hz. I'm pushing it with a Kenwood 500W RMS amp. Its still not enough bass for me, but I have to deal with the WAF.

I bought two more of these and used them to build a home theater sub with a Dayton SPA1000. Watching Transformers shakes the whole house!

The sub sure is small, it isn't the biggest, ground shaking, sub you might want it to be, but it sure will give you that extreme bass while keeping sound quality just as good.

Pumping 500 watts RMS into this shallow mount 12" sub in a .7 cubic foot sealed custom box behind the rear seat of my 05 Tacoma. Good lows without booming resonate bass. Produces a gut felt tight bass response. The construction exceeds the expensive popular subs. Thinking about using them as a powered home sub box. Smaller the box the more power you will need.

I owned 4 of these in a single cab chevy 1994. They hit so hard my wind sheild wipers move and shake. My back window would flex so much. I would totally recommend these!! The reason i dont have them anymore is because i am getting a single 10" Pioneer Premier 800/3000 watt sub between my bucket seats but this a great starter sub no doubt!!

This is a great subwoofer for a reasonable price. The sub was easy to connect up because of the spring loaded clips, and a great all around product.

Looking for some sub woofers for a limited space Chevy Silverado 1500, my brother told me about these speakers. The Pioneer TS-SW3001S2. These woofers are simply impressive for the size, design, weight and not mention the power handling. Don't believe me? Try them, I guarantee that you will be impressed with this woofer. best money i have spent!!!
PS! My system specs: Pioneer double din 4300 dvd player and 1 orion 1200 watts for the Pioneer TS-SW3001S2

Cut out with too much power. I am pushing 1000 watts and have to set the gain below half.
