We bought this for our inlaws who used to enjoy listening to what was going on in the neighborhood on the old analog version. Although the initial programming is rather complicated, once it's set up the hard part is done. They thank us often for the gift and have it on 24/7.

This Scanner is Excellent. Took me 10 minutes to Program Using Radio Reference, It is very light and the color coded LED light helps determine what type service is talking (i.e. POLICE, FIRE AND EMS)

Great scanner in a small package. Computer interface works easily. Programming by hand takes awhile until you "get" the way it works. Really fine digital tracking scanner in my opinion.
