Kicker is known for being exceptionally loud and this is no exception. Hits hard with crystal clear tone every time!. I would recommend this to my friends. However if your looking to be obscenely loud I would recommend going with a larger size such as the 12" or the 15".
Pros: Loud, clear sound. Accurate power ratings. "It almost seems like kicker always under rates there products as they always seem to perform better than they company rates it." Cons: Easy to blow if you don't break it in! Takes about 20-30 hours of continuous tone at 30 hz free air. That means that you have to either set up a custom break in bench. Or play it low for about 10 weeks. Because I have blown 4 of these subs before I realized that they needed to be broken in. After I properly broke one in, the quality was amazing and it's still bumping strong a full year later. Summary: A must have if you like bass that kicks hard, sounds great, and you can keep the volume low until the ridiculously long break in period is complete. Just remember, The bigger the sub that harder it kicks! So if you want insane bass go with the 12 or 15".
