The speakers looks good, build quality and sound are also good for the price. It's powered by a Sony deck putting out 15 watts. With this low wattage, it doesn't have a lot of bass but the highs and mids were fine. Not sure if how it would sound if powered by a 60 WATT amp. Anyway, I was looking for an inexpensive set of speakers to replace the worn out factory speakers. This product served that purpose well. |

Zero bass. The woofer just bottoms out and sounds terrible. These sound more like tweeters. Only works well if you have a HPF on them. |

Installed these for someone along with a Pioneer HU. Running off that HU they sound decent. Definitely an upgrade from stock. They have decent mid range and the highs aren't too bright. Im not sure how well they would run off of an external amp but they do take the power from the Pio HU with not much distortion at high volumes. Overall, the owner was happy.

I bought these speakers for my car almost a year ago (probably 9 months) and I came back to buy a sub and amp so I figured I'd spend a little time writing a review on my speakers I bought.
I have a 96 nissan 240sx so I had few other options for speakers that would replace the stock speakers well. I have these on a sony xplod head unit 45x4 and they are pretty good. They do NOT have low end bass though, which is why I finally came back to order a sub. The midrange is great and the highs are pretty sharp. At around 20 on my head unit the speakers no longer get very much louder, but they come close to becoming distorted so it works out quite well. These are great factory replacements, but probably have less low end than my stock speakers. The mids really pack a punch though and the clarity is good so I would recommend them if you're looking to replace blown speakers for cheap. They also hold up really well, I listen to my music LOUD so they are quite durable. Fits well in an s14.

I am a big fan of Sony but let's just say that I got so disappointed at this particular Sony product that I yanked them out of my 2011 Infiniti FX and replaced them with JBL power series speakers. The difference is clear.
