I had the MEX-BT3800U installed without the external mic, and the hands-free audio was not very good. So, I decided to add the the XA-MC10 external mic. It was definitely a good purchase.

It came with my Sony stereo but when i have a phone conversation the person can't hear nothing i have to repeat many times and i have to scream so they can hear me. Is way to cheap as mic very disappointed of Sony usually they make great products. I am looking for different mic now.
