Its very good, user friendly. Ipod controls are a little weak, but its good overall. The touch screen is dated, not nearly as touch friendly as an apple product but for the price its great!

When I initially purchased this head unit I couldn't believe the price. The first one I got worked for about 2 minutes then the screen and buttons went blank and unresponsive. After ordering a new one and a week later I finally had my head unit in my car and working. The functions on this are great but it tends to be a little laggy at times. Also, it sometimes doesn't recognize my ipod. For the price I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a basic model, this is for you!

I've had this product for a while now and ther are a few cons but it does what it's suppose to do. It's a little slow at times to change radio stations and it doesn't always pick up your finger touch, also it doesn't control my subs as much as I wanted to (in terms of turning them up or down or even off) but it will a little bit. But on the pluses side, it looks great, the picture is pretty decent, sounds fantastic and it has a decent amount of features. I'd recommend it to anyone, any day.

Cons: Some electrical glitch that causes the unit to reboot. It hasn't happened for the last three days so maybe it is done throwing fits. I know at least one other reviewer had mentioned the same thing.

Also, this unit is slow to read my usb stick. If I am already playing from the usb and change from regular play mode to Senseme, it has to read the stick again and it takes at least fifteen seconds or maybe more. That being said, I enjoy everything else about this stereo.

Pros: Although there are only 3 default color schemes available, the stereo uses them to its advantage. You can't change the button color, just the background of static dislplays and a color graphic that displays (if you want it to) while the stereo is on. But what is a nice surprise are the static color schemes when viewing different play mode. I haven't used the dvd player yet, but just judging by the vibrance of the colors in stereo mode, the screen must be great for viewing movies. My biggest disappointment was with the very drab screen in radio mode. Then I discovered that by just touching the screen you can make all the grey buttons disappear and the only thing left is the station number and the active color graphic at the bottom of the screen.

What I like most about the product is the senseme mode for playing music from an outside music source. I plug in my usb stick and then choose from three different modes how I want the music selected. You can just choose from your music folders; you can select for your mood from a range of venues from "morning commute" to "midnight" and others in between. The senseme program will organize your music to fit those venues and then play them. Another senseme mode is a screen with all your songs represented as dots... the screen looks like a starfield with a circle around it. At different locations in the circle are mood descriptions. Touch the screen on or near those descriptions and you will get a song that matches it. The last thing I'll mention is the touch screen. The main feature I like about it is that, while listening to radio or outside music source, you don't have to take your eyes off the road to advance the music, go back or search. You just put a finger on the screen and drag it up, down, accross or backward and it will advance, go back or scan in those directions. Very convenient.

Oh, there is one more thing after all. It is small but nice. I have light sensitive eyes and am often bothered by glare, whether from natural light or artificial, and it is more pronounced at night while I am driving. With this stereo, I can press a button in the top right hand corner and shut off the entire screen, but the stereo still plays. I am not certain if it can be done in cd mode, but I have used it in others. I hope this review is helpful to you and good luck.

The sound is incredible, very easy to use, and simple installation (said by the shop at least). I enjoyed the full 48hrs of play. Noticed monitor started to reset itself a few times, but didnt pay it any attention. At least til it didn't come back on. This is a good unit if you want to give it a chance. Im going with the Kenwood.
