My in dash cd player and changer no longer work so i bought this product, well, no where in the product description does it say it wont work on single cd players, I have a 2000 trans am that has a single cd player and a changer. In fact the documentation that comes with it says to press the tape/play button, so i am assuming it is intended for cassette units. This unit does plug in and work....when the car is off and in accessory mode....as soon as i start the car it wouldnt work. in accessory with the car off it did sound great....and of course in traditional GM fashion the stock harnesses are just a bit to short to pull the stereo out comfortably to work with. So in the process, even being careful, the orange wire pulled out of the stock harness and I'm trying to find where to put it back at. So Again the unit, if working does sound great. sadly it doesnt seem to work with cd players with changer controls, and at this point it would have taken me less time to bypass the monsoon system and put in a new headunit.
