I listened to several slim line subwoofers before I made this purchase. In my oppinion not the Soundstream, Pioneer nor Kenwood (plus many more) in this price bracket (some were priced higher) came close to sounding & feeling as good as this speaker. The funniest thing is I took a risk & purchased this unit without hearing it, I just went on my past experience with my 12 year old Vega series 15" sub & split speakers that wowed everyone that listened to them. I highly recommend this sub for anyone who is limited or does not want to use all their spare space, this is also the first non vented sub (installed as per the manufacturers specs) I've owned.
