I was skeptical to go with this set based on the only review on file. That review mentions the woofers not having enough mid bass. While it isn't the same db level as a dedicated 10 inch sub, there is still plenty to be had. The clarity of these speakers compared to my stock speakers is monumental. They are very crisp. So much so, that I would recommend running them on the -3db setting. They are what some people call bright, but they are not fatiguing. You could listen to them all day. These differences show through with just stock head unit power. I will be powering these eventually.

Installed this 6x9 comp. set in a 08 Nissan Frontier Front Door (6x9) and dash (tweeter). 150 watts rms going to each side. This component set has some serious volume capability without distorting, outstanding tweeters, 6x9's are clear, even at very high volume, but do not have a strong mid-bass punch. Optimisticly, maybe they will break in and improve. As it stands, I will be installing some kicker 6.5 subs (yes they make them that small) in the back doors and some 8" woofers in the back in order to fill in that mid-bass punch I am looking for. Crossover boxes are somewhat large, but will fit into some vehicles kick panels. I recommend this component set, but be prepared to add something else too for mid-bass.
