I have been using the iRad since last summer, and it has performed very well overall. It readily detects all bands of radar - as well as lasers. The bluetooth and iPhone apps work together very well. I have already recommended it to several friends.

Product was in good condition, It seems to have alot of false alerts though, from what others say.
I'd probably go with another unit if i had to buy again. Yet if your looking for something sleek and low profile and to link to your iPad or iPhone and keep the unit in a concealed area then this is the one to get.

The iRad100 is a very inexpensive way to equip yourself with a high quality radar detector. I have found it responsive, accurate and easy to operate. Since it uses the iPhone as a display, you have to find a place to set up or mount the iPhone. My car has a recessed instrument panel, so I simply set my iPhone in position in front of my speedometer. The iRad has its own speedometer display which uses the iPhone's GPS to determine your rate of travel.
Operation of the iRad100 in conjunction with your iPhone draws a lot of power from the iPhone, so on trips of any length, you will need to use your iPhone's USB cord which can be piggy-backed onto the iRad's cigar lighter plug. This creates an extra step in getting it ready to use, but I find the extra information it provides (such as known speed traps) is worth the trouble. And the iRad100 can be used without connecting it to the iPhone. Its audible radar warning noises are supplemented by voice warnings (e.g. "K alert"). (My girlfriend's name is Kay, so she asked me "How does it know I'm here?)

Worked OK in my truck, actually kind of neat, but blows the 12V supply fuse in my Lotus so not much use really. Now sitting on a bench gathering dust.
