This is actually a nice speaker. I orginally had dayton audio reference 8s, but they are big, almost 9 inch dia, and I thought those were doing really well. When I installed these in my door, with a pyramid tw44 tweeter, and 5.25 mid, with 3 way crossover @ 160 hz, run off 4 channels bridged on an m2000.4, 300w rms ea. door. Not using as midbass, however they do handle 80hz well. I was truly amazed. They sound very clear, and natural, just like live music should be! I'am very happy with these.
