Picked up one two days ago at a local pawn shop for $45. What a wonderful little instrument. It caught my eye because it had a similar color scheme as my Taylor acoustic. The dark sapele all wood body and light colored nato neck just pop. The tuners were tight and hold strings in tune amazingly well. Rosewood bridge and fretboard look great too.
Playability: Amazing. Low action with a full 21 fret fretboard. The sitka spruce bracing combined with the sapele body give this uke a nice loud clear voice.
I'm very pleased with this purchase. I've owned soprano ukuleles and have never been satisfied due to volume, inability to stay in tune, body size, and comfort when playing. The much larger tenor fits wonderfully in my hands, is much more comfortable and easy to play, and projects splendidly. I knocked out a good 5 hours with it this weekend and just loved every minute. Best part was it stayed in tune the entire time.
This is a great little ukulele fitted to surpass the expectations of a novice to pro. I would have paid $200-$300 easy for such a well constructed and great sounding instrument.
