Bought this 6 months ago, after getting a speeding ticket - first ticket in 20 years. This thing works great. Very easy to set up - installed in back of my rear view mirror. I leave it on autoscan. You do get some false reports, however on Staten Island NY it appears that the police only use KA band and laser, so it is easy to determine when it is police radar sending the signal. The range is fantastic, plenty of time to slow down when you hear the radar warning. Also sensitive to laser, but of course less time to slow down. I'm completely satisfied with the detector, and will not drive without it. Excellent balance of effectiveness and value. Would highly recommend it to a friend.
