iPod Connector Cable for Kenwood Stereos (via CD Changer plug). This cable is great for customers who do not want to spend $69.99 for the Kenwood KCA-iP500 which provides complete track name, etc. This cable is less expensive, sacrifices a few control features, but still provides a clean sound connection while charging your iPod.
The Kenwood head unit must have CD changer controls as this cable connects through the CD Changer port. Same as American International NC-iKEN.
- Connector cable for compatible Kenwood radios through the CD Changer plug
- Provides a clean connection between the iPod and head unit
- Head unit must have CD Changer control for the connector to function
- Not compatible with the Apple iPhone 3G, iPod Nano 4th Gen, iPod Touch 2nd Gen, and any other newly released iPods that utilize the 5V charging.

This cable works, does what it was made to do... But it was made very poorly. I have bought 2 of these over the last 2 years because 1 year is about how long it lasts. After a year any movement on the cable creates a loud static feedback noise coming from the speakers. The cables short out at the base of the ipod connector end.

I bought this for my extra car so I could use my iPod classic on the way to work. It charged my iPod but my Kenwood reciver didnt recognize it was attached and wouldnt play. I think it wasnt compatable with my unit the $40 cable from Kenwood worked great.

The product does exactly what I wanted it to do. It connects my iPod to my Kenwood car radio, through the multiCD connector. Since it also charges my iPod I really like the product.

This item would be ideal if it was compatible with all Kenwood and iPods products. This cord does not work with the iPod touch series and the specific Kenwood Model KDC-X579. The Headunit will not recognize that anything is plugged into the system and the ipod touch
will display a message saying that charging is not compatible with the product.

This adapter works great, once you realize you have to reset your radio for it to be recognized. I used this in conjunction with the 3.5 mm jack since I was getting power but no sound initially. then I had to reset the radio and bam the cord worked perfectly by itself. Its great to have no wires showing. the only down side is the cable should be about a foot longer for a really clean/invisible install.
