Simply Amazing

The following review is for Mojo, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This thing is near perfect portable dac/amp. I've had mine nearly 2 months and I pretty much stopped using the other dac and amps i've tried (i own 8 different dac and used many others). It powers every headphone I have easily and the sound quality is phenominal. I have nothing negative to say about the sound quality. The only gripe I have is when using with Tidal the player (computer or android) sometimes locks up when connecting the Mojo. However, that may just be a Tidal issue. The build quality is extremely good and simplicity is its best aesthetic feature. I also like how the power button color changes color so you know what file sampling rate and bit the dac is converting at. When I switch between TIdal Hifi and spotify the light changes so I know it actually recognizes that. It's pricey but easily justifiable once you try it.

Astounding Amp/DAC

The following review is for Mojo, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

I so badly wanted to say this DAC/Amp isnt much better than the DragonFly Red. After many hours spent A/B listening with a pair of HD800S cans, it is clear to me that the Mojo is really an amazing piece of kit. There is notably more detail, less clinical harshness, and far greater musicality and tight instrument placement. The mojo is built like a tank and looks wonderfull. You cant turn off the lights on the buttons, but you can dim them so its not a problem. My only complaint is that the battery life is not the best. It does play for 8hrs, but coming from a Ray Samules Audio Predator that seemed to have near infinite battery, it is lacking. Then again, this device is far more powerful and better in every way. Worth every penny.

great DAC

The following review is for Mojo, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

Nice DAC, pairs really well with the SONY MDR-Z7. It can drive any headphones to loud volumes. very good resolution and detail. I like it better than my Apogee Groove which is now obsolete.

Great Portable DAC/AMP bested by none

The following review is for Mojo, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

After reading and watching many reviews, some on YouTube, I decided to spend the money for a good DAC/AMP. The best professional review I saw was on head-fi.org: "The Game Really has Changed!" This can power headphones as powerfully as your typical 5.1 stereo receiver can and possibly more. The interaction you have with the device is unique and functional. The lit balls can be dimmed but not shut off but the Mojo does remember your last setting, which is nice. I'd like to turn the lights off so the wife doesn't ask how much was that? It has about 100 volume steps, Z-Reviews on YouTube counted... and so it can go very low for IEM's and High for all but tough-to-drive Planar's. His review was mixed but didn't do it any justice by the way... I heard it pairs well with the LCD-3 by Audeze but not the -XC. Battery is about 6-7 hrs for me with T50RP's. These Fostex cans, which are semi-hard to drive to an enjoyable level are done easily with the Mojo. I've read it can power anything besides the hard to drive Planar's like the original Hifiman HE-500. It does get very warm just charging or semi warm just using it for over 30 minutes. I personally won't be charging it while using it as I've heard it get's almost too hot to touch. Sure it might last a few years, but as an Electrical Engineer, I know that capacitors and silicon devices degrade over time quicker at higher temp's. I don't care what premium components/battery were chosen. BACK TO SOUND: It really takes CD Quality material to bring out the special characteristics of the reproduction Mojo can produce. 320 kbps doesn't cut it. Once an A/B comparison was done to a good Denon Receiver, though not a $1000 Burson or anything..., it was pretty clear with my decent headphones. I can't imagine what >$1000 headphones would reveal with the change but that's coming next year (Hopefully no bright lights come on with those headphone...). The only negative/issue I've had is trying to squeeze the sound out of an iphone/android from the usb output. You need a camera kit for iphones to go to USB ($35-$49 depending on the powered input one or not which I recommend getting the powered one, chrg phone and usb or other device without power limit warning), then a short USB to micro USB to plug into the Mojo or, for Android, a OTG (on the go?) micro to micro USB cable. The older iphones with 30pin won't work. Chord just started selling cables and a cable kit b/c they must have paid attention to the complaints. I can say that with Windows 10, once the driver was downloaded, all you do is power on the device and the PC switches the Default Device output to the Chord Mojo. Once powered off, it switches back without opening up Device Manager in Windows. I like that seemless functionality a lot. I would buy again, especially with Sonic's coupons and warranty. One star on Features docked for lack of bass boost like the Oppo HA-1 has and one star on Ease of Use docked for the cable shenanigan.

My search is over

The following review is for Mojo, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

The Mojo definitely lives up to all the hype which convinced me to buy it in the first place. The build quality, features, compatibility, and of course the sound are all top notch. I think, at least for a while, that my search for a portable dac/amp is over. I've actually been using this more than my home setup as it really complements a few of my headphones really well. My only complaint there are no protective accessories for it yet but supposedly some are coming soon.

Mojo Brings the Best Out of My IEMs

The following review is for Mojo, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

I recently bought a set of 64 Audio A10 Custom IEM and wanted a good source to get the best out of it as I felt that my Fiio X3ii was holding the A10 back from sounding its best. After considering various other Players in the similar price range, I decided to get the Mojo.

During my research I learnt that, in order for the Mojo to perform to the best of its capabilities, it needs to be fed a bit-perfect digital signal. What that means is, typically all the music playing software/applications on our PC/Mac/Smartphones tend to up-sample or down-sample the music signal before feeding it to a DAC. This is not good for Mojo. There are a number of applications that can do a bit-perfect signal. So do your research and get the application that will do a bit-perfect digital out.

Once you get that part right, you are in for a treat. My A10 as well as my IE80 sound so good out of the Mojo now. Mojo is not just a capable Digital/Analog Converter, but also has power to drive high impedance headphones. As long as you don't have the most demanding headphones(headphones with super high impedance), Mojo should be able to drive it with authority.

Also, before you buy the Mojo, make sure you invest in a decent set of headphones/IEMs. A good headphone/IEM + Mojo combo will sound so much better than, just trying to pair the Mojo with a run-of-the-mill headphone/IEM.

I like this little box!

The following review is for Mojo, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

It's 30 days since I have Mojo with me and I love it! It's solid built, amazing sound and portable. I started listening to all my music again, because when I turned it on for the first time, plugged Senheiser HD600 and played Muse, I found many new nuiances in the music, felt the stage differently and amazed of the details and clarity. From there on, I take it with me all the time! I highly recommend it to everyone who can afford the price. I've been looking for a portable DAC for a year, read many reviews, and when Chord introduced it, decision was made right away.
