after getting quote from car dealer of $400 to install in a Suzuki swift
I searched the internet for the cable to install myself. This works perfectly and only takes a minute to do saving hundreds of dollars. There is a cable out there that looks the same but it doesn't work properly it only streams the music to the head unit, I know I tried it and sent it back.
this works great. it charges the iPod , shows track names on head unit, can operate controls from steering wheel and head unit,
you can use the menu of the iPod through the head unit but its a little tricky, by using buttons 5 and 6
have used with iPod classic , iPod touch and iPhone

This system ROCKS!!, I was thinking of adding a power amp, But after hooking it up with the clarion 7 1/2" speakers , NO need to. Most people think that I have a power amp with a sub woofer.

Great product, works as advertised. Nice menu integration with car deck.
Not so great for scrolling through a lot ( >50) artists/albums - Does not work past a certain number of items in the menu.
However, by detaching the ipod and choosing the song/album you want, the problem can be circumvented, or you could only use a few playlists.
