I just purchased and hooked up the Boyo Vision VTL400 on a toyota SUV yesterday. First of all, this is my first backup camera, so I may be a bit impartial here, but I have to say, I love this thing! I hook up to 3 trailers on a regular basis and was tired of jumping out of the truck constantly to see if I am at the ball. I hooked up a Kenwood DDX712 that I am using for the monitor and mounted the camera above the license plate. Last night I hooked up to my boat (in total darkness) and drove the ball to the hitch in 2 seconds. I could see exactly where the ball was and was perfectly lined up with the boat. The only complaint I have about all of these cameras is the angle is fixed, once you tighten down the screws. They should make these camera's with an in-car angle adjuster, so when your done hooking up the ball, you can move it up, to see higher up. Although we went out to dinner, paralled parked on a busy street. After dinner, someone parked within 12 inches of my back bumper. I turned on the camera and backed (with my ball on) an inch from the guys bumber to pull out, without a sweat! Worked great even in the dark! I have not hooked up the switch on the kenwood so it automatically comes on in reverse yet, but plan to do so. I just wonder, with tons of car washes over the years, will it still work? $99.00 will find out!
Good luck on continued success and I will continue sending everyone I know to you, not just cause you hook me up when I need it, but cause you guys are truly the best place (in product and service) I have ever ordered from.
