It withstands rain, sun, hot, cold & motorcycle vibration.

I have 2 of these 8 inch subs with infinity 6x9 sony stereo and a clarion 750 watt amp and my boat rocks this is an awesome setup. Surprisingly the battery has never gone dead and I have played it for up to 2.5 hrs cranked up.
