I bought this amp to run a dual 10" JL stealth box and a set of C2 components in an extended cab chevy and it sounds very good even with a mediocre deck. Couldn't be happier, clean and easy one amp install with plenty of power and great sound. Thanks again Sonic Electronix!

There are very few true 3 channel amps to choose from. This one works well, but it seems to shut down after a hour or so. I have it in the back of my 08 Corvette. It is on a flat deck and not covered. About as exposed to open air as I can get in a Vette. If I am on a trip where I have to drive over a hour or two, the amp just shuts down. I think it is overheating. It seems to work fine a hour or two later. I wish I could find a better quality 3 channel amp. Like I said, sounds great, just wish I hadn't spent the money on this one.

I bought this amp to run the 4 phoenix gold speakers and 2 15" kicker comp subs in my car. This means the amp is constantly running at 2 ohms on all the channels. I play the system full blast for a half hour on my way to school. The amp barely fits under my seat with no airspace. The amp heats up to about body temperature which is cool for an amp in these conditions. I have undersized 4 gauge cable powering it and undersized aluminum speaker wire hooked up so don't believe this needs a 4ga power cable capable of 150 amps when it has a 60 amp fuse on the amp itself. I have a 60 amp stock alternator on my car with an undersized battery with no capacitor powering my system. On full blast at idle the lights don't dim at all. This setup in my hatchback is 3/4 as loud as my 2000 watt setup with 2 12" L5s in my suv. The only difference is I only paid 1/4 of the price for my setup and the system doesn't heat up. I bought this amp because I am cheap and didnt want to spend an extra $100 for the 5 channel. This amp is a very high quality amp and is the only reason I can get away with putting it through these conditions and it not heating up.
