The PDB400 fused power distribution block allows you to connect as many as four amplifiers to a single power source. The main input lets you connect 4 or 1/0 gauge wire from your battery to the block, and you can run up to four 4 or 8-gauge wires to your amplifiers. For protection and safety each output requires one AGU fuse to be placed in-line for each respective amplifier that's connected to the block. (Fuses sold separately)

General Features

  • Fused AGU Power Distribution Block
  • (3) Inputs: Accepts 1/0 or 4-Gauge Wire
  • (4) Outputs: Accepts 4 or 8-Gauge Wire
  • Supports up to 4 AGU Type Fuses (not included)
  • Impact Resistant Snap-on Plastic Cover
  • 100% Solid Brass Construction
  • Platinum-Plated for Corrosion Resistance

Distribution Block Specifications

Distribution Block Type
This specifies what the intended use of the distribution block is. Fused distribution blocks are intended to be used with the power wire and the fuse acts as a short-circuit or surge protection so your amplifier is not as likely to be damaged. Non-fused distribution blocks can used with ground or power wire connections, but the protection on power wire connections will not be present as there is no fuse in the distribution block. Therefore, we recommend your amplifier has an external fuse for short-circuit or surge protection. When using either type of distribution block, it is recommended to use a main fuse holder within 18 inches of the battery.
Total Number of Inputs
This is the total number of input connections that go into the unit.
Maximum Input Gauge Size
This is the largest gauge wire that will fit into the power and ground terminals of this device. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire is. For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.
