Very good speaker for a low powered system. Very clean and crisp and will handle a little more than rated rms if crossed over properly. Pushed 70 watts rms no problem at 100Hz.

Purchased these as a replacement of my SE8375's, because one speaker died due to too loud too long, over a two year period. The magnet on these SE6800 is bigger, and the force required to move the speaker membrane down with your fingers is greater than with the SE8375's, which is typical because the magnet is more powerfull therefore the rigidity of the membrane must be stiffen else you will max out too kickly on speaker travel. The result is that I can't max out the speaker anymore as with the SE8375, the sound is also louder (bigger magnet, stiffer mounting), but ... I like my old SE8375 better, because they just sound... better. I have just ordered another pair of SE8375's. I will keep these SE6800's in the car (MX5) for now, until I get my SE8375's. Like they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Purchased from Sonic. Great price fast delivery well packaged. No problem. Installed in door panels of 2008 Mustang Bullitt - Shaker 500 stereo. Have identical footprint to factory 6x8 speakers. Exact fit. Much nicer speaker than factory. Sound great very satisfied with this purchase.
