| Review written by Yelena from STaten Island, NY Well i got this item, and installed it on my 06 Chevy impala, and with Sonic, they sent me all the stuff i needed for a clean install except the GMOS-LAN (required for some GM vehicles), and i got that off eBay or cheap. Well anyway,
The stereo is really nice and really complemented my console.
The two blue circles around the main buttons are nice, and they blink like eyes to songs(in demo mode).
At first using it can be a little intimidating, but after you read the manual, WHICH YOU MUST DO, its not hard at all.
ITs really nice when its lit up at nite, unlike some units where you can see the buttons which are not on lit up from the other buttons which are on. This unit doesnt have that problem, and the display is really customizable, and you can make a nice BIG clock which takes up the whole screen, and that looks killer in my opinion.
The remote can be used to turn the unit on, but it can be used to turn it off. Ive never had an aftermarket receiver before, but after prolonged use, when i take off the faceplate, it seems really hot. It look much better than any of thoose clunky JVC'c out there, it has a simple, elegant, and very stylish "it" look and is very handsome. Did i mention it looks great?
It seems to be good quality too, with no buttons or the faceplate making any noises like creaks or sdqeaks i've seen on many units.
NOTE**** IT DOES NOT HAVE A MOTORIZED FACEPLATE< LIKE THE DESCRIPTION SAYS!! IT IS SPRING LOADED LIKE MOST OF THE RECEIVERS!!!
otherwise, great value, especially from Sonic. |
