Certified Output and Reliable Efficiency
High powered subwoofer applications tend to generate plenty of heat to the amplifier powering them. Music can only be enjoyed when an amplifier is on, and when an amplifier reaches high temperatures it will usually shut off to protect from it damage. The Kenwood KAC-9104D has built-in self-activating fans to protect from high temperatures so your system can play longer without having forced intermissions. That means even under stressful conditions, the built in fans will aid the heatsink to effectively cool the amplifier.
With an impressive output rating of 500 watts RMS x 1 Channel at 4 Ohms, and 900 watts RMS x 1 Channel at 2 Ohms, this amplifier is CEA-2006 compliant so all wattage specifications are true to industry standard. The Kenwood KAC-9104D also has the Capability for a 1-Ohm load to achieve over 900 watts RMS! Combined with their total efficiency and high power output, the Kenwood KAC-9104D is the perfect option for any compatible subwoofer application!

This amp is awesome. For the guy who said it would go into power protect mode at 1 ohm its not that the amp can't handle it its your stock alternator not being able to keep up and your voltage is dropping to low thus sending it in to micro protect mode. Got this wired at 1 ohm to 2 Rockford Fosgate 12 inch p3's with a 220 amp alternator to keep up the power and all i can say is WOW. So in the future those of you who dont know how to hook up a system properly - DONT WRITE A REVIEW and TAKE IT TO A PROFESSIONAL TO INSTALL. Also its CEA compliant so its 1800 watts peak not 900 just cause you stand outside your car and think it doesnt sound like 1800 doesn't mean its not just means you need to learn how to hook up your stuff.

I just bought one of these amps a couple of days ago and i have to say out of all of the car audio I've owned this amp seals the deal. I am pushing 2 12" Pioneer champion series subs and it is amazing. I recommend this amp to any one who is looking for a big time bass.

I didn't get the amp from here, I bought it off a guy that powered two cvr's with it. I powered two kenwood kfc-3012's and these things bumped hard. Although after a while the Kenwoods proved to be not enough for me so I went and bought an Addictive Audio 15 version 3 1000 watt rms 2100 peak. I still have this amp and let me say I am surprised the excursion this amp produces. It hits easily hits 20% harder than the two 12's. But like everyone said it is power hungry, either upgrade your alternator, get a second battery, and possibly do a big 3 and you will never have a problem with this amp running at 1 ohm. I have to push this thing over 3/4 gain and input sensitivity for it to shut off. But I did notice it will start to distort if you go too high so if you don't distort the amp it won't shut off.

I don't know if cause the amp has never overheated since I installed it , i paid dirt cheap for gold, or cause new my 2 12' JL w3v3 are not shutting this amp down at full volume. But i love this amp.... not everyone gets lucky with this amp cause its a gambling amp. My cousin gets the exact same amp and his stop working after two hours. So just have to be careful......... of course i feel like it may no be the full 1800 watts but you get what you paid for. but when i had my 2 12' JL w1v2 this amp was perfect for such subs.... I recommend this amp if you got under 700 Rms to push
