I have a radio in my motorhome thta has XM capabileiy and I am a lover of good music so I want that in the mororhome as well.

My current SiriusXM radio will only display 16 characters for the song title and the artist/composer. Will this tuner display all of this data or scroll to display all of the information. It is amazing that the $25 Onyx radio will do what I want. Will this tuner display all of the information as broadcast by SiriusXM?
Jim R on Feb 25, 2015
Best Answer: This unit doesn't "display" anything, but I think I know what you're asking. While there is no display on this device, it does send all of the information to the stereo head unit for display. I have this unit hooked up to a Clarion NX604. When listening to SiriusXM, the stereo will display the entire song title, entire artist name, genre, and channel.

The antenna that comes with this says its magnetic. Does that mean it has to go on the outside of the car, like on the roof???
A shopper on Sep 5, 2015
Best Answer: I would guess so. You may be able to get away with putting it on the dash, but I'm not positive. Do some Google searching and you'll probably find forums where people discuss placement. I bought an adapter that allowed me to use my factory shark fin antenna (works on Toyota and Lexus). There may be something similar for other care makes.

What the difference between the sxv300 and the sxv200 model?
Shawn M on May 30, 2015
Best Answer: Basically, they both do the exact same thing. They are interchangeable.
However, the 300 series unit supports album artwork and a few other nice
features. You will only see this artwork if your head unit supports that
feature. The 300 series unit also tunes to channels a bit faster, but the
difference is not a major concern, they are both almost instantaneously. I
bought the 300, although my head unit doesn't support all the features of the
300 series, I may purchase a new one in the future that will support all the
features that the 300 has to offer. At then end of the day, they both play the
same music or sports, so it just comes down to if the price difference is
important or not.

how long is the antenna?
A shopper on May 23, 2016
Best Answer: I have a Nissan Xterra and I ran my antenna to the back on the tail gate and I still have a bunch of slack. I thing the actual length is 25 ft, it was plenty enough for me. Hope this helps.

is there a list of radio's that this device is compatible with? I have a factory installed Bose on my Mazda and not sure if this device will connect to it.
A shopper on Mar 26, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

There is no such list available. The HEADUNIT establishes compatibility. Unfortunately, Bose doesn't make aftermarket headunits at this time, so it is Very unlikely that your headunit is compatible. If you are implying that you have an OEM Mazda/Bose headunit, then it is 100% NOT compatible.

the sirius xm sxv200v1 or sxv300v1 are they "ok" or compatible with a kenwood dnx691hd ???? What is the best???? Thank you!
Gstcyr1 on Feb 9, 2015
Best Answer: It should be a great match, that is if the radio is already SIRIUS XM ready. I purchased the Kenwood KDC-BT558U and added the SXV 300V1, and it works like a charm. Very easy plug and play item!

Can this device be used in conjuntion with a factory installed sirius antenna?
Docfuson on Jan 11, 2015
Best Answer: Hello Billy,

No. The OEM Antenna will not have a connection compatible with the V300 tuner. If you wish to retain the OEM 'Satellite Radio', there may be a specialty harness available for your vehicle. Use the link below to cross reference a potential harness (use the "Radio Replacement" category) .

Will this system work on a 2008 Toyota Tundra AM FM 6 Cassette stereo system that is satellite ready? System is listed JBL A51828
John C on Feb 17, 2016
Best Answer: Hi John,

The SXV300V1 is not compatible with any OEM stereo. There are a few modules in the market that allow you to integrate aftermarket satellite radio to an OEM stereo, but none for that vehicle with this tune.

i have a stock radio from GM in my truck i just bought, it has siriusxm radio and i have a subscription. I am installing a new aftermarket head unit that also supports siriusxm radio, the installer said i need to buy an adapter for the new aftermarket head unit to get the siriusxm to function. is this true? Can it not use the connection to the factory siriusxm radio antenna?
shawn d on Dec 10, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Shawn,

You installer is correct, technically. Absolutely NO aftermarket headunit has the ability to accept an OEM satellite connection, therefore requiring the SXV300v1 (assuming it is compatible). However, there are - at times - aftermarket wiring harnesses that allow you/your installer to retain the OE Sat connection. Typically the cost of harness offsets the cost of the tuner, so the point is moot, but it is sometimes an options nonetheless. If you'd like to explore this options use the link below, filter for your vehicle, and filter for 'Radio Replacement', then browse the options and check if one allows for the retention.

The SXV300V1 is intended Only for aftermarket headunits. Your only option now is to contact your Lincoln/Ford Dealer, or consider an external aftermarket SiriusXM tuner.

Will this work with my Jensen VX7010? It says it is Siriusxm rdy but the Bus where I'd plug in the tuner says it's SXV100.
A shopper on Mar 28, 2015
Best Answer: Not an expert on Jensen radios but I can say with a fair degree of confidence, "yes." This replaced the 200, which replaced the 100. I was going to get the 100, but due to waiting so long, this was the current model. It works fine in my Pioneer. Exact same connectors.
