why do the subs make a loud thumping noise that repeats when i turn the gain up not even half way and it wont stop till i turn the gain almost all the way back down?
devin m on Aug 7, 2014
Best Answer: i have 2 of the belva bb3000 on 2 massive audio summos and i get a very light thump but its because i have line converters also i had to pick a wire for amp turn on...but again its very very light... i would check ground on the amp, have your amp properly tuned and or re ground your head unit ...also if you have a bass nob make sure the jack is completely inserted into the amp and last but not least...make sure your fuse block is not cracked(the one for the amp) i hope this helps ...now thomp that bass !!

Would this amp be a good choice for two 10" Polk Audio MM1040 DVC subs wired to 1 ohm?
Laremy D on Oct 29, 2015
Best Answer: Hello Laremy, ,

Absolutely not. Two Polk Audio MM1040DVC are only asking for ~700 watts RMS. You wish to wire them to 1ohm - although you don't specify why - which means the Belva BB3000D will provide ~1800 watts RMS. Obviously that is 1100 watts more than you need, which is waaaaaaay more than you need. Coincidentally, if you wire the subs in series/parallel to a 4ohm load, the Belva amplifier will provide a very manageable 780 watts RMS, which we would be comfortable saying will work well.

Ok Guys I Need HELP PLEASE!!!!! I Have 2 Sets Of Subwoofer's Which Both Are Rockford Fosgate, And I Have Been Trying To Figure Out The Correct Amplifier To Purchase. One Set Of Sub's Are P2D4 Dual 4 Ohm 15" Rating At 400/800 Watts, And The Other Set Of Subs Are P3D2 Dual 2 Ohm 15" Rating At 600/1200 Watt, And I Really Need Help On Finding The Right Amplifier That Will Work Well With These Subs Without My Voice Coils Being Fried. I Was Thinking About Purchasing The Belva BB3000 But I'm Not Sure If It Will Work With These Subs. And To Be Clear I'm Not Wiring All Subs Together I Just Purchased An Extra Set. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Thanks?
Tim M on Oct 17, 2015
Best Answer: The p2d4 pair wired to 1 ohm will work great on the belva bb3000d set gains correctly without distortion/ clipping and you will be happy for a long time if you are putting the p2d4's in a vented enclosure be sure to use the belva bb3000d's built in subsonic filter adjusted at running frequency a decent amp that won't break the bank. On the other set the bb5000d at 2 ohm will work as well
