Did lots of research to find the Multimedia Navigation system for my Jeep. This seems (based on reviews and everything it says it will do) to fit the bill perfectly. I promise to do an update in 6 mos. to tell you if it is true.

jensen VX7012 does it come with face plate?
DENNIS B on Nov 13, 2016
Best Answer: Yes, it come with two faceplates if I remember from when I got mine, however it is not vehicle specific. When you add it to your cart. Sonic is usually super nice by giving you a vehicle specific (optional) trim piece depending on your vehicle.

How much tilt adjustment is there for the screen? My installation would need to tilt and hold the screen almost 3/4" forward (towards the interior). Can the VX7012 screen do this?
A shopper on Oct 25, 2015
Best Answer: What vehicle are you putting it in? I put mine in a Porsche Boxster. And because of the air vents it had to have a bit of tilt also. It's probably about 1/2 inch at least. I love the deck so far!

I am trying to pair my phone but I don't have the code. I have tried 0000 and 1234 to no avail. What should I do?
Courtney R on Aug 1, 2015
Best Answer: Pairing - This feature allows the user to create a unique 4 digit code for
pairing BT devices to the unit. The factory default pairing code is “5309”. That is copied from the owner's manual.

Will this radio fit a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo?
Robert on Nov 23, 2016
Best Answer: Hello ,

This headunit's chassis is a traditional Single Din Size. Therefore, it WILL fit, with the proper dash kit. HOWEVER, clearly the design of this headunit is far from 'traditional', so Please make sure there isn't anything on the vehicle that will impede its progress, OR if the headunit will impede anything on the dash itself. In addition, the Dash Kit I referred to is Vehicle Specific, NOT headunit specific, so be prepared to potentially make a small accommodation of some kind. If you wish to completely avoid any of this, then a traditional Single Din will be your best option. [i.e. Non-Flip Out/Up/Down/Etc..]

Jeff L on Sep 9, 2016

Will the backup camera come on automaticly when switched into reverse. Can it be used with a wireless camera ?
Ftroop on Mar 6, 2016
Best Answer: Hello Robert,

If your installer installs the headunit to switch into reverse camera correctly, then yes. The headunit doesn't know when you are in reverse unless you tell it to via the proper installation procedure. As for the 'wireless camera' question, you are free to use Any kind of camera. All the headunit cares about is that the module/camera/etc... uses a traditional RCA Coaxial Video cable to stream its feed. We suggest consulting your installer for such question. =]

If i get headrest monitors is there a way to connect it all to allow passengers watch a dvd while i listen to the radio? In order to use navigation, do i just upload maps(additional cost?)? I just don't understand these things no matter how much I read.
A shopper on Jan 1, 2016
Best Answer: I don't think you can use additional "applications" as you're asking. (I don't know a stereo in which this is possible to watch movies and play the radio at the same time) If you got a separate player for the monitors I could see that. The FIRST update for the navigation system is free. After that you have to pay for updates. You have 30 days from installation in the vehicle for the first free update. I did just buy this and hope what I've said helped.

Does it matter which backup camera is used? Is there a preference on which camera to use with this unit?
KurtF on Dec 16, 2015
Best Answer: Hello Kurt,

It does not matter what backup camera you use. As far as preference, it is really up to you what type of backup camera install you would like on your vehicle such as a license plate camera, lip-mount, etc.

Feel free to browse through the backup cameras we have to find the quality and type of install you would like: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i249_rearview-backup-cameras.html
