Why did you choose this?

Reviews were really good. I am hoping to enjoy it

Good reviews, good price, never had a problem with Power Acoustik products. I like that it's a touchscreen when you want, or a [seemingly] regular single din when you don't. Been a SonicElectronix shopper for about 8 years now. If you punch your vehicle in, they'll send you the wire harness AND the plastic molding to flush-mount your new head unit. I wouldn't buy from any other store in the world (online or in person). I love you guys, SonicElectronix. Please never stop. <3

So, I just put two of these in the trunk of my 2005 Saturn Ion in a sealed box powered by a Pioneer GM-D9601 and I am wondering what the best gain and frequency settings would be? I would like them to hit hard at high volumes but I also want it to be crisp and clean and be able to hit the quick bass when its there. If it makes a difference, my head unit is the Power Acoustik PTID-8920B. Thank you in advance!

Best Answer: Hello CJ,

The Power Acoustik PTID-8920B doesn't provide the greatest signal, so your Gain will need to be turned up fairly high. The higher the gain is set, the lower the overall sound quality you are able to reach. This isn't a Terrible thing, 2v is a common figure, but we want you to understand that there is always room for improvement on the final outcome. We suggest setting your LPF, or "Freq", to ~80Hz. This will be roughly the half way point between 60-125Hz .

Setting the gain, however, isn't as easy as just giving you a figure. Please do a bit of homework of your own to understand the setting. Below are two link to give you a headstart.

Hershey_4 on May 14, 2015
Best Answer: The sound is okay. I would say go for something better. I'm not happy with it. the "sub" controls is on or off. you can't choose the Mhz of the sub. the Bluetooth has connectivity issues as well.

I've seen this model fit in a 1999 Dodge Ram, but would it fit in a 1999 Dodge Durango? The dash layout is just a little bit different, and I want to make sure the screen would be able to fit fine.
Wyatt on Feb 10, 2015
Best Answer: Idk for sure never fit one in myself in a Durango but looking at a few pics looks like it could. Two things I could think to do is look for any 99 Durango with a 7 in flip screen for even being different models the dimensions should be close to the same that could give you an idea or take a tape measure and measure 7 ins diagonally from under the lip and see how far down that puts you, if your past the middle of the radio opening or to close to that you won't fit. I no longer have this radio I had it in an 08 ram it fit but couldn't change the tilt because it was already against the dash but completely different then a Durango. Hope this helps

Will this radio fit a 2011 Renault Clio Expression?
Ryan S on Aug 16, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Ryan,

We cannot guarantee fitment on vehicles offered Outside of the U.S.
However, considering the chassis of the Power Acoustik PTID-8920B is a traditional SINGLE DIN, chances are it very well can. Needless to say, you will need to locate a Single Din Dash Kit, specific to your vehicle.

Will this fit my 2009 Chevy Silverado?
Jacob on Oct 14, 2014
Best Answer: Hello ,

This headunit's chassis is a traditional Single Din Size. Therefore, it WILL fit, with the proper dash kit. HOWEVER, clearly the design of this headunit is far from 'traditional', so Please make sure there isn't anything on the vehicle that will impede its progress, OR if the headunit will impede anything on the dash itself. In addition, the Dash Kit I referred to is Vehicle Specific, NOT headunit specific, so be prepared to potentially make a small accommodation of some kind. If you wish to completely avoid any of this, then a traditional Single Din will be your best option. [i.e. Non-Flip Out/Up/Etc..]

I ve own this Preamp for sometime. My stereo systems config is like this: HU is a Power Acoustik DVD player connected to this Power Acoustik PWM-19 preamp and all outputs connected to my 2 amps. One 4 ch and 1 mono amp. The HU sends 2V and I do not have a line driver installed. This preamp does not have a line driver integrated, though the specs sheet promise 7V output level. So my question is whether this pre receives 2V line and automatically boost the voltage to 7V? Or do I need to add a line driver before this preamp. Of course, the objective is to be able to send high voltage to my two amps ASAP :)
