Best Answer: Ya it will push the Alpine good. The amp puts out a good amount of power. Sonic tested this amp and it puts out neer rated. I have one running two alpine 10" bass line subs and it seems to run them just fine. Not the best for SQ but it gets the job done and at a cheap price.

would this be a good amp to power a single Pioneer TS-W3003D4 sub?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2016
Best Answer: This amp is rated for 650 at 2 ohms. it has 2 25 amp fuses so I would estimate a tlw less than that. maybe 250w at 4 ohms, you should be okay.

Can a Precision Power PPI i650.1 power two of these?

Kicker 10CVT104
Best Answer: Hi Jonathan,

Yes, but it will be UNDERPOWERING. The setup wants ~800w RMS @ 2ohms. The amp will provide ~700w RMS , at best. The Hifonics X1100.1D will be a far better match, with a better chance of gaining the figure you seek.

Will my regular battery power this pup or do I need to buy another one ?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2016
Best Answer: Ignoring the fact that we have absolutely no idea what your 'regular battery' is, the condition of it, or what else it is powering, the i650.1 isn't a very 'big' amplifier; an OEM battery (even a "small" one) will do just fine.

Would this amp be good for a single JL Audio 10W6v2? The JL sub is rated for 600 Continuous Power Handling (RMS) and the Nominal Impedance (Znom) is Dual 4 ?. I'm looking for something that runs cool (doesn't overheat) as my current Crunch 1650.2 amp heats up fast and causes it to go into protection mode.

Best Answer: Hello,

We're going out on a limb here, considering we can't see your setup, but the reason your amplifier is overheating is probably because its a 2Channel, likely being BRIDGED, and wired to your Dual-4ohm driver that is probably wired to a 2ohm load, in parallel. If in fact your driver is wired in parallel, and your amplifier is Bridged, then there is your problem.

However, if you are simply giving the subwoofer ONE of the two channels, with the sub wired in parallel, and the amp is overheating, then the issue may be something completely different, because the main issue/complaint/concern you'll have here is that you will only be getting around 300W RMS (educated guess) and only moderate output.

Either way, to your question: The Precision Power i650.1 , on paper, is a match for your 10W6v2-D4, 2 ohms: 650 watts x 1 chan. . The subwoofer must be wired in Parallel to a 2ohm load, of course. The only concern here, like the Crunch amplifier, is that Precision Power is fairly entry level. So you are going to use an entry level amplifier to drive a 'premium' subwoofer. As such, you will get entry level-ish performance.

Best Answer: Hello,

Unfortunately, the i650.1 is not a very good match for the Memphis 15-PR10D4. That sub is asking for ~250w RMS @ 2ohms (when wired in Parallel) . The figures of the amp far exceed that. A better match will be the Orion CO1200.1D, Rockford Fosgate R250X1 , or Kicker DXA250.1.

Would this be good for a 500 watt max Memphis 10?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2014
Best Answer: Hello,

Without a proper model number, whoever gives you feedback will simply be Speculating whether the match will be a proper one.
Here is why, and you'll see why a Model Number is necessary; Being that you've specified 500w MAX, the sub is likely Only asking for ~250w RMS. Lets assume the sub is a Dual-2ohm or Singl-4ohm, this would mean you'd want to run this amp at 4ohms, which is providing 400w. 400w vs 250w is not a very practical combination. If the sub is a Dual-4ohm, then wiring it to 2ohms can be a DISASTROUS idea, but wiring Up to 8ohms might be ok. I say "might" because we obviously have no idea what the amp is doing at 8ohms.
Those are all possible scenarios, or NONE can be. Either way, we don't know unless you provide us with a Model Number . Find the model number to your sub and resubmit your questions, OR forward your inquiry to [email protected] .

Best Answer: Hello Brahm,

Yes, based on figures, this is a perfect match. Precision Power makes fairly awesome amplifiers, at a reasonable price. They aren't, however, mean for 'above modest' setups, so please do not expect such. They are, after all, entry/mid-level product. We often suggest such an amp for 'budget builds' and work well in that application. Considering the Kicker DXA1000.1 is the 'Match' for this sub, we have to agree that the i650.1 is far more practical .
