May I put this in my box for subwoofer on walls ? Would make some difference in sound ?
Gelu P on Jan 14, 2015
Best Answer: typically you would want to put sound dampening on any peice of metal to keep the rattle from happening. Ive personally put sound dampening in a few enclosures i didnt hear much of a difference in sound or volume level. on the otherhand i have coated the insides of an enclosure with fiber glass and it make a bit of a difference

If I were install this on my doors for 6x8s...where do I put it? Just anywhere on on the metal framing?
Taylor M on Oct 16, 2015
Best Answer: You can use sound deadning to prevent rattling, keep the outside noice down and to stop the sound produced by the back of the speaker from going into the cabin. If all you care about is preventing rattling, then just put it anywhere you see that might cause rattling. If you want to keep the outside noice down, cover the the inside of the main part of the metal on the door (the inside of the part of the door that you see from outside). Lastly, if you want to stop the sound from the back of your speakers out, put the sound deadner over the openings on the frame to turn your door into an enclosure. Hope this helps.
