Fit welll for my application. Sound much better than stock speaker. Used mine with a 10 sub. 720s have a high pass filter with the sub picking up low bass. Works great. A little hard to find a location for crossover in door panel but got it to fit.

The speakers are great. Running them active with 3.2kHz crossover point. required quite a bit of fine tuning though. mid-bass is non existent unless you lower Mid HPF. but for the money, best out there.

The time i spend using the tweeters is amazing when I got a chance to hear these things I was amazed by the clarity. Pioneer and Sonic is definently the way to go.

I bought a pair as a first attempt to use Pioneer products. Its sounds great and clear with about 100watts to it. The tweeter component seems kinda harsh at times when the volume is pumped up but for the price its pretty good. The JL (kid put a screwdriver into the cone) I replaced with these sounded better but also was more expensive. Still, a great value.

I was hesitant to refer to this system as a great value, because most folks think “value” means settling for less.
Well this Pioneer set is truly one of the hidden gems in auto audio. The tweeters are soft dome and have pretty good extension for a 1-1/8” diameter. The sound is lively but somewhat harsh until they’re broken in.
The mid-bass/woofer is of the composite variety. Some manufacturers build there woofers out of one material while other use more than one material in order to get the best performance from the woofer. Pioneer did the latter with this system. The cone is made of polypropylene and basalt/aramid fibers. The poly dampens unwanted resonances and the basalt/aramid stiffens the cone for better midrange.
The crossover is encased in a see-through enclosure and the recessed mounting holes mean that there are no which can snap off.
Installation:
Very simple especially since Pioneer includes the accessories that enable the tweeters to be mounted: flush, surface or angled. Two adapter rings are included for woofer mounting.
Sound: This system is very detailed and punchy without being fatiguing. The low distortion woofer really brings out the best in high quality recordings and can play pretty loud within reason. I would recommend the use of a sub if you want more low-end kick.
Treble is very good thanks to the tweeter, but it takes some time to break in.
I was really surprised that this system could sound so good. It made me wonder why some companies charge so much more money for systems that sound on-par with this set.
SonicElectronix shipped my set quickly and provides its own 1 year warranty, should the speakers stop functioning due to a defect.
My experiences with this set and dealing with SonicElectronix were very positive which is why I recommend both.
