Why did you choose this?
Sonic Electronix Store
it has good reviews and the website said we would get a free vehicle specitfc installkit.

price point for the quality
Jacob M on Sep 7, 2016
Still has the volume knob, and the features including GPS appealed to me. The road display looks better than another similarly-priced model, and the price point is great for a radio with a GPS.
Spencer Pratt E on Oct 22, 2016
factory perfect look and great features including sound, color etc

mcraw on Nov 27, 2014
Best Answer: Maps seem to be up to date and I have not checked into updating them I did not buy the steering wheel control interface and Bluetooth has a built in mic and I have no backup camera but it said any universal one would work overall for the price this is a great unit and was very easy to install and program would buy again for sure

So I saw the ONLY bad review stating it does not work with iPhone. This would be an EXTREME deal breaker with me as I have an extensive iTunes library that I play all my music from. Does anyone have any personal experience with it working with iPhone or not? Was his a review just a fluke from maybe not searching settings enough? Does it play music from iPhone while controlling music selection from the phone or no? please and thanks!
A shopper on May 26, 2016
Best Answer: Yes it does work with iPhone . On the home screen just click Bluetooth and pair multiple iPhones and iPads too . It works great . Great functionality for the price. Plays all your music from iTunes and even YouTube and it pairs automatically when your phone is in or around the car.

I assume an iphone 4 would work with this?
Marty B on Mar 2, 2015
Best Answer: This is a great radio to have . But I feel as if I was misled. It's not Apple compatible. Doesn't work using usb cable. It will charge it dats all . Don't work with iPhone or pod . It only work Bluetooth which sucks . I have a iPod classic with a lot of music on it . But I had to adjust. That's the only knock on it . I love everything else about it

Can this fit a 2006 Dodge Magnum?
A shopper on Nov 4, 2014
Best Answer: Hello,

If you have Factory Navigation or you have the OEM Navigation Bezel, then Yes. If you have neither, then you must pick up one of the following dash kits to convert the Dodge Opening into a Double Din;

Al R on Jun 10, 2015
Best Answer: It does; however I've only had a few songs where it actually "sees" the data - majority of songs via Bluetooth or CD seem to display "unknown".

can i add siriusxm? if yes, what would be needed?
A shopper on May 11, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

Unfortunately, only "Premium A-Vendor" manufactures have the proprietary input to integrate SiriusXM. The only option to get the feature with this headunit is with the use of a "Universal Car Kit" that utilizes an Auxiliary Input (e.g. 3.5mm or RCA input) .

Will this unit fit a 2004 F350 supercab without any modifications?
A shopper on Apr 22, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

All double din headunits will require some dash modification to take place. Below is the dash kit and its manual that will outlines specifics. It is a VERY common install, but if you do not wish to modify the vehicle then we highly recommend a Single Din Headunit.

Will this receiver play music while navigating?
Patrick B on Feb 23, 2015
Best Answer: Yes you can. I can listen to cd's, my iPod, flash drive while Navigating. The Navigation will let you know that you are exceeding the speed limit by muting the music/radio momentarily then resume the previous action. The navigation also shows you the hundred block you are in in the lower right corner. It's a great radio. Put it in myself. Had to take it to Someone to hook up the dimmer switch for the radio. Great stereo. Love it.

Can you listen to sd card, and use the map at the same time, are they separate slots?
A shopper on Aug 23, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, the maps are pre-loaded onto an SD card that comes with the head unit in a special map port, and then there is a second port to put one of your own SD's in there, but I highly recommend putting you're media on a USB and using it that way because it's a much better interface and much easier to add and drop what you're listening to instead of using SD cards. USB is definitely the way to go with this unit if you don't want to use Bluetooth or auxiliary cords.

Is this head unit easily detachable so it can be removed so it isnt stolen?
A shopper on Jan 4, 2015
Best Answer: Nope, it's all one piece. There is nothing to detach. You would usually bolt the unit to the mounting bracket behind the trim panel, so it's not easily stolen anyway.

How do you keep the time saved on the home screen? because every time i turn my truck off it resets the home screen time.
A shopper on Oct 24, 2016
Best Answer: I haven't personally encountered this issue unless my car battery was failing. Not sure if your install allows for a power line that is always hot, doesn't sound like it does. Do your stations stay set? If they do, then you do have a constant power source that's hot. The only time I experienced time and stations not staying set was when my battery was dying.

scott b on May 8, 2016

I have 2010 sebring with out steering wheel remote.do I need a special harness ?
A shopper on Jan 21, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

Luckily, you won't need a Steering Wheel Control Retention Module, but your vehicle still calls for many other features to be retained for an Aftermarket Headunit to be installed. Our website will load the Axxess XSVI-6522-NAV into your cart, which Is the correct harness for that vehicle. So, Simply add the headunit to your cart, enter your vehicle information when prompted, and allow the accessories to be added along with the headunit. Said accessories is what is needed to properly install the headunit.

I have a 2008 Mazda CX-7 with factory radio/steering wheel controls. If I wish to have the same controls work with this radio, do I have to have the controller as well? it is just volume, Mode, mute, tuning up and down
rob g on Jun 25, 2015
Best Answer: You'll need to purchase an steering wheel control interface appropriate to your car. A quick Google search should tell you. I purchased one that was self programing and it was a mistake it wasn't an easy setup at all. I strongly recommend getting one that you can set up. The radio unit on the other hand is great. The navigation acts up on rare instances but it is a great product in my opinion.

Best Answer: Hello,

A stereo does not determine compatibility with OEM systems, the HARNESS does. Give our sales team a call to make sure you are set up with what you need. Alternatively, add the headunit to your cart, enter your vehicle information when prompted, and allow the accessories to be added along with the headunit. Said accessories is what is needed to properly install the headunit.

Do you have a list of vehicles that this unit is compatible with?
Joan W on Jun 17, 2016
Best Answer: That would mean providing a list of every vehicle - ever - that has a compatible Double DIN dash kit available for it. That list would be unimaginably long, so - unfortunately - we do not have a list to provide. We suggest using the fit guide on the product page. =]
