I got BELVA 2.0 CAPACITOR AND THE BELVA 4 GAUGE WIRING KIT THAT UP TO 2000 WATTS IS THAT RIGHT FOR THIS AMP ????
Smokey on Nov 21, 2016
Best Answer: Hello, Steven!

I have the same amplifier and I'm running the Belva kit with a 1.0 farad capacitor. I've had it wired up in my car for a little over a week and haven't experienced any issues. The 2.0
farad capacitor will provide even more reserve power if you're pushing your system hard. Just ensure that you charge it before the first use and you should be good to go! Oh yeah, if you don't feel like wiring a remote the JBL amp will turn on via the RCA inputs. There's a switch on the bottom of the amp that you'll need to flip to override the remote. I personally use this feature, but be advised that it takes the amp a little while to activate - it's not immediate.

If I have a Kenwood head unit and have the JBL gtx 500 sub connected to it with Rca jacks from the sub out on the head to the input on the amp, what setting should I have the input switch on. Low , H1, or H2? Need help !
Chris K on Jun 21, 2016
Best Answer: Low. Hi settings are used for Speaker Level Input. And have the Gain set for Minimum to start with. Turn the Kenwood to Maximum Volume Without Distortion. Then slowly turn the Gain up.

If I have a Kenwood with 4V preamp output, is this amp not really compatible?
It lists this as input sensitivity: Low level: 100mV - 2V.
