The pioneer Deh-80prs , Says it can control Hz to sub, mids and highs but I cant find the Hz range the deck controls for each amp any1 know???
Travis B on May 25, 2015
Best Answer: Hello Travis,

We aren't entirely sure what you are referring. One cannot "control" the frequencies, per se. We imagine you are referring to the Crossover function built into the headunit. This 'technically' control the frequencies, but what the crossover does is Cut Out the frequencies to which you set it to. Please refer to your user manual as it goes in depth.

Pandora ready?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2014
Best Answer: It depend on what you mean. It doesn't have pandora on the deck itself but if you have a smart phone you can download the app and either stream it via USB or Bluetooth. I don't use Pandora personally but noticed the icon on my deck when I plugged in my IPhone. I'm a premium user with Spotify. I download music to my IPAD and stream via Bluetooth to the deck. Works great.

Best Answer: Over all I would say that the pioneer deh 80prs would be your best choice if your looking for best overall sound quality as it has better digital to analog converters and a better equalizer with more detailed settings for audio adjustments.

The Sony would be my next choice as it has a built in amp which outputs 40 watts rms per channel which would save you a lot of time and money since you wouldn't have to purchase an after market amp for your mids and highs unless you wanted/needed more wattage.

Hope I helped and have fun!

Hi all, I read about this unit and the alpine cde-164bt, they are amazing, can anyone help me to choose which one to purchase, i liked the pioneer more. can anyone help thank you all?
megamike on Oct 4, 2015
Best Answer: If you want more tuning features go with the pioneer. If you want a more solidily built device and more user friendly controls go with te Alpine. If I had an external DSP there is no question I would prefer the Alpine Unit. Though there is no question that as single din units go the Pioneer is one of the best of not the best at this price point when it comes to tuning features. That is why I bought it.

I'm running a Pioneer de-80 PRS and want to run in network mode. I'm currently running 4 Polk MM521's in my jeep + a sub and I'm wondering if I can ditch the polk passive crossovers and run two separate NVX MVPA4 4ch amps amping the mid woofer and the tweeters on these 2-ways separately? I really don't have room to easily install the component MM5251. This would allow me to control all crossover points for Mid, Hi, and Sub directly through my head unit. Little help would be appreciated.

Best Answer: Yes it can be done active this way. You'll have to run 3 amps if your going this route. One for highs, another for mids and one for the sub stage. A couple RCA splitters and you're in business. You have many options with this deck, its up to your imagination and problem solving abilities. This HU can actively run 4 networks if you power the front tweeters off the deck. You don't really need the rear tweets. Just move the front ones from the mid and put them up on the dash. It will clean up the sound and you wont have to drive them as hard. Hope this is helpful.

Is the Pioneer deh-80prs compatible with IPhone 7+ ? 2012 Nissan Titan. Most important is blue tooth.
Kevin B on Oct 31, 2016
Best Answer: It doesnt matter what device you use. Bluetooth is bluetooth. Great choice going with the 80prs btw, it does not distort at all if you tune properly and have the eq set to flat. Goodluck.

Does an Pioneer DEH-80PRS in-dash car unit fit a 2004 VW Phaeton?
Ron L on Nov 5, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee fitment for vehicles offered outside the U.S. Market. Our vehicle database is powered by fit-guides that have been researched by the leading aftermarket accessory companies; Metra and Scosche. Since you're located internationally, neither company has created parts for your application.

I am replacing an old Pioneer EH-P680mp in my boat and I want to still use my Wired Remotes (2) with my new Pioneer that I purchase will . I have a wired remote (CD-MR70) on the dash and one at the back of the boat. This Pioneer DEH-80PRS be able to be controlled my my two existing remotes?
Brannon S on Sep 2, 2015
Best Answer: If you are using the Pioneer wired remote port on the back of the head unit (looks like a 3.5mm headphone jack) for common functions (volume, preset, source select, etc) then it is likely to just plug in and work with the 80PRS. Pioneer has not changed the basic specs for this port in a long time and it is consistent across models.
