I have owned this product before, I liked it, is very nice the only thing I don't like is when your driving you can hardly see the number bottoms, overall I think is a really nice HU for the price, if you don't want to spend to much money on a HU, go with this one. You will love it.

After 7 months of living with the JVC KD-HDR30 I can fully recomend it to anyone who wants a solid mid range stereo. I spend 2 hours a day in the car, and use the hd radio every day for every mile. I expected fm to be much improved, and it is. I did not expect am to be improved, but it is wonderful. I tuned in to listen to a weather report on my local am radio station, and it sounds like the old fm used to sound, wow. I have had no problems with the stero, or the cd player. I liked the idea of a jack for my walkman, but never seem to rember to use it, after the radio comes on. It really does sound good with the polk speakers, plenty of power for base, and very clear and crisp mids. My wife says the highs are good, but my hearing loss it is hard for me to tell. We will be getting another for her truck soon. If I could change anything a treble and bass control would have been a nice addition to the " listening modes" available, but it is not a big deal.

Very recommended. Unit works very well. Good sound and pulls in many HD stations. Only problem is when the unit is below 20 degrees (before car warms up) the display has sections of the display that are not as bright as other sections. Even at below zero, display is still readable.
