This helps the MTX JH404 Amplifier put out impressive power ratings without getting hot and shutting down. The harder the amp is being driven, the harder the fan will work to make sure each component doesn't heat too much with it's active cooling.

I bought this amp about 4 months ago, recently i have been experiencing problems with the rear speaker levels dropping out and losing its clarity. Its as if you put a blanket over the rear speakers. It has been tested time and time again and the results are still showing the amplifier being defective. I have heard numerous complaints about the jack hammer series doing this. I believe it is a capacitor issue inside the amplifier that heats up and cannot produce max rms for this amp. Other than that, clarity is incredible and it knocks. When you purchase this amp, push it and make sure it does not drop levels.

This is a raw amp im getting it soon with some street wires. MTX is one of the best companies out there so go MTX you wont regret it

very impressed on the power output of this amp! MTX under rates all of there amps and the one i got says 495 rms!! on the birth sheet!! specs say 400. I have kappa 6x9s and kappa componants. great bass responce and the signal to noise is 90 db on the birth sheet !!! specs say 75 db. Get it for your interior speakers not for subs, get the mono block for you subs.
