I bought this head unit after doing some research and was in my budget range. Excellent head unit and great features. Highly recommended. At Sonic you can't beat the price.

I just had this unit installed in my 05 Pontiac Aztek today (I bought it from SonicElectronix) and I am loving it.
What drew me to this particular unit is its ability to play various video formats from various DVD media types. The only video formats it DOESN'T play are Real Media (RM) and Windows Media (WMV), but that's ok. Most of the video I download online are DivX or XviD encoded AVIs anyway.
I tested a burned DVD ISO and it worked without a hitch, the same with a DVD-R with AVI files. It also played DVD's that my home standalone player wouldn't read. I love the fact that you could navigate the DVD menu with the touch screen.
The picture quality is absolutely excellent and the touch screen isn't overly sensitive or requiring a heavy touch.
I had priced out more expensive units with similar specs but they lacked certain playback formats or if they DID have them, they were over the $500 mark.
My only complaint is that the remote has no range. This could be that the battery it came with is low on juice, but you have to point the remote at the screen in order to use it. I was hoping to mount it on my dashboard with velcro, but that's not going to happen.
I am a security guard using my own vehicle and I needed something to entertain me during the long, boring nights at work. This will do the trick!
I don't know about the longevity of this unit quite yet, but just in case, I paid the extra $35 for the extended 3 year warranty.
The wiring harness and adapter plate supplied by SonicElectronix worked perfectly (according to the tech who installed it) and I ended up not needing the special harness that includes the door chime (usually needed by GM vehicles 2000 & up).
I am definately reccomending this product and SonicElectronix.com to anyone on a budget who wants an in-dash DVD player for their car.

Great head unit. Very low noise and easy to use. Great features that you would want in your car! Love the navigation!
I recently purchased an amp and a few component speakers from Sonic Electronix. The service was excellent and my wife got the UPS package just as promised. My buyer confidence with Sonic Electronix is very high and will check here first when I make my next purchase.
