This review does not speak to Sonic, only the Metra product that they carry. Metra were rude, told me it would work with an SI, their website clearly showed it was compatible with the SI (amplified sound system) and yet when I took it to an installer, he had to splice it directly to the wire harness which cost me extra. It will work, but it is not a plug and play. This complaint is not so much about Sonic, more about the most disgusting experience I have ever had with a company--that being Metra. The Southern U.S. Regional Sales Manager was disgraceful and rude. I will never buy a Metra product again. I run my own company, and I know how necessary it is to listen to the consumer. I'm glad I have this chance to describe my experience with Metra. While it still works (thanks to the installer), I have to rate durability at 1 star because of my terrible experience as for look/design, that's a 1 or n/a. As for overall, value and ease of use--a definite 1 star.

I would definitely recommend this product for any one who is a do-it your self kind of person. Looking at all the wires can be a little intimidating but the instructions are simple enough to follow. The price was very reasonable. This product worked great with my Parrot Bluetooth set up. I would recommend it. Self installation definitely saved me some money.

I installed a Parrot bluetooth unit so I could use hands-free operation of my phone plus automatic muting of my car stereo. Installing the Parrot requires that a lot of wires must be cut, soldered and taped OR by using the Metra BT-1722-A you just unplug the original 06'-09' Honda Civic wiring harness and re-plug your Parrot (or similar product) into the circuit. Its neat, clean and if you ever need to pull out the bluetooth interface, it's easy and back to original in a snap! Great product. Sonic was one of the only places stocking this product.

I used this to install a Parrot CK3000 in a 2008 Civic EX (stock radio, non-navi) and it worked great.
Despite initial appearances, every connection is "keyed", so the only connectors that will fit each terminal of the harness are the ones that are supposed to go there. It's pretty much foolproof.
One note - most of the instructions/guides for the CK3000 mention that using the BT-1722 harness will require a wire swap on the fuse holders of the Parrot kit. Apparently, this has been corrected in the 1722-A harness (this one), so that swap is no longer needed, making the entire installation completely plug and play.
The harness build quality was also excellent.
It works as advertised, is well made, and dead simple to install. In short, it does everything it's supposed to do and does it well.
I don't give maximum rating scores lightly, but this harness earned every one of them. I couldn't ask for more.
