The Cobra CPI 2575 has power issues. We originally installed the inverter and it worked wonderfully, until we found that it drained the battery and taxed the alternator. We remedied the problem by installing a high output alternator, but this only created a new problem that we are still dealing with. Apparently the inverter needs a very specific wattage or amperage to turn on; after it is on it can handle any load, but we have trouble getting the thing to turn on. It is either over powered while the car is running or under powered, thus it will not turn on. We have found that it will turn on and operate fine when we turn it on and immediately start the car.
